Creative Director / Creative & Marketing Manager

SYNDICATE SALES

As the Creative Director for a $100M B2B floral hardgoods and home and garden décor manufacturing company, I lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of designers, developers, marketers. and contractors. Together, we strategize and implement comprehensive marketing campaigns aimed at driving growth and increasing revenue. 

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

Ecommerce Marketing & Website Management:

  • Designed, built, and manage two ecommerce websites, generating $30M+ in annual sales.

Product Development and Launch:

  • Successfully developed and launched seasonal product lines and marketing campaigns, contributing to over $15M+ in annual revenue.

Tradeshow Coordination:

  • Designed, managed, coordinated, and marketed 20+ tradeshows annually, spanning three different market channels, resulting in $10M+ in annual sales.

Process and Procedure Development:

  • Develop project briefs that translate business needs into actionable tasks for the creative and marketing team, guiding and informing their work.

In my role as the Creative Director at Springboard Marketing, I led a talented team of designers, developers, and marketers to strategize and implement comprehensive digital marketing campaigns for ecommerce companies ranging from $5 to $25M in revenue.

As the Creative Director, I was responsible for leading and developing a motivated and productive creative team of production designers, content writers, website programmers and art directors.

Consistent Multi-Channel Execution:

  • Ensured the execution of creative projects across multiple media channels for a consistent and engaging customer experience.

  • Directed the creation of all marketing materials, including concept development, layout, design, content, production coordination, and distribution.

  • Partnered with clients and executive leadership teams to plan, develop, and produce targeted and on-brand marketing campaigns tailored to specific audiences.

Senior Art Director

In charge of leading and teaching a design team to execute an artistic vision. Facilitated brainstorming sessions to help clients verbalize their thoughts, feelings, and expectations for a project and then translated that feedback into mood boards, color palettes and a visual playbook so as to visually inform the project. Stayed ahead of design trends, remain rooted in design principles, and designed cohesive visual solutions across multiple brand touchpoints.

  • Researched, defined and presented design concepts from start to finish.

  • Protected and evolved brands (such as the Colts, IU Health, Indianapolis Zoo, and many others) by setting standards, maintaining consistency, and when necessary pushing a brand to the next level.

  • Guided and encouraged a team of graphic designers to work efficiently and flawlessly.

Anderson University's Graphic Design Program helped me build a strong foundation in design principles and refine my creative abilities, setting the stage for a successful career in the creative industry. I majored in Graphic Design and minored in Philosophy. During my Sophomore year, I was the Graphic Design Lab Assistant. I switched to the Photography Lab Assistant during my Junior year, and then finished as the Ceramics Assistant for my senior year. It was through these apprenticeships that I learned a variety of skills over several different mediums.
